Los Angeles Dental Implants

Natural-looking replacements that last

City of Angels Dentistry — Los Angeles dental implants

A missing tooth affects more than the gap you can see

When a tooth goes missing, the rest of your mouth begins to adjust around it. Neighboring teeth start to drift, the bone beneath the space gradually recedes without anything to stimulate it, and over time your bite can shift in ways that wear on other teeth. Los Angeles dental implants are the one replacement that restores the whole tooth, root and all. The result looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.

At City of Angels Dentistry, Dr. Kevin Chin plans, places your implant, and designs your final crown from the very start, so every step is guided by where your finished tooth needs to sit for a comfortable, lasting bite.

Frequently asked questions about dental implants

Most people are. Good candidates have enough healthy bone and gum tissue to support the implant, and conditions like smoking, diabetes, or past bone loss don't automatically rule you out. At your consultation, Dr. Chin reviews everything and gives you a straight answer about whether Los Angeles dental implants are right for you.

Plan on 6 to 9 months from placement to final crown, most of that time spent healing rather than in appointments. Full-arch cases can vary. You'll get a specific timeline built around your case at your consultation.

Placement is done under local anesthesia, and most patients say recovery feels similar to a routine extraction. For added comfort, we offer nitrous oxide and oral sedation, and every operatory comes with noise-canceling headphones and streaming.

While we're out of network, we accept all PPO insurance, estimate your benefits up front, and file your claims for you. We also offer financing through CareCredit and Cherry to help your investment work for your life.

What makes implants worth it

  • They look and feel like your own teeth, shade-matched to blend in.

  • They protect your bite, keeping nearby teeth from drifting apart.

  • They stand alone, restoring one tooth without touching its neighbors.

  • They last, designed with good care to be permanent, not redone.

  • They restore how you eat and speak, with a tooth you forget is there.

What the dental implant process involves

01

The consultation

Dr. Chin reviews bone volume and gum health using in-office CT and panoramic imaging, compares an implant honestly against your other options, and gives you a full estimate and timeline before anything is planned.

02

Placement

The post goes in under local anesthesia, with nitrous oxide or oral sedation available if you want it.

03

Integration

Over 3 to 6 months, the bone fuses to the titanium. You go about your life.

04

The crown

Once integration is confirmed, an iTero scan captures the site and your custom porcelain crown is fabricated and fitted.

05

The follow-through

Implants do not decay, but the gum and bone around them still need watching. That happens at your regular hygiene visits.

Dr. Kevin Chin, dental implant dentist at City of Angels Dentistry

Placed and restored by one dentist

Dr. Chin completed treatment planning and functional occlusion training at the Kois Center, which is what allows him to plan an implant around your whole bite instead of one empty socket.

When a case calls for a specialist, like significant bone grafting, he'll refer you to someone he trusts and stays involved in your care.
